Thanksgiving 2010

With our family pretty much scattered this Thanksgiving...Jim and Stephanie were so nice to invite us over to celebrate with them. They went all out and everyone had a great time. Thanks guys. They did a smoked turkey and a regular one.
Stephanie was busy busy busy and managed to have everything fancy and fun. (as usual)
Stephanie's sister and her kids were there too. Her daughter Abby helped me with holding Amelia and playing with Eliza.
Here are the two little miss Sassy pants cousins. Just ask their moms. Like two peas in a pod.
I've decided when I looked at the pictures, this was really Eliza's Thanksgiving. She had lots of great adventures. Here she is trying out some dessert. Eclairs...yum.
Blake (why might be her favorite) helping her on the indo board. (is that even what it is called)
The girl table...Allie, Susanna, Amelia, Zoe, and Clara.
The boy table. Didn't get all of them in the picture.
The grown up table. Great food, great company...good times.

Eliza visited Dallin in his room and took a few guitar lessons.
Then she visited Ethan's room and took a few drum lessons.

Ethan is a much better player but so loud. I don't know if I could stand it. He is getting pretty darn good.

Nathan and Blake and yes, my Nathan is actually 2 months older than cousin Blake.

Eliza at the end of her long day. I think her face says it all. She is thankful for such great cousins. She had a great time and so did we. Thanks Fillmores.

Wax Museum

Meet John Adams. Nathan had to study him for a report in school. We went to the thrift store to find this nifty outfit. Whenever someone pushed the button on his desk, he had to recite his life story. He did an awesome job and had a lot of fun learning about him.

Striking some poses.
We got a few pictures of the cat in the hat, neil armstrong, and a few other famous friends.

Way to go Nathan. I think any chance you get to perform, you will take it.

Static Sunday

Take a Sunday afternoon, a fourteen year old brother, fuzzy blanket, and two sisters with long hair and look at the fun you can create. They had somuch fun making their hair stand on all ends. Too darling to see their happy faces and crazy hair.

Amelia's milestones

At about 4 and a half months, Amelia started some new tricks. She started to roll over. She could roll from her tummy to her back earlier but now she can turn both ways. Now we have to be careful where we lay her and I fear there will be some rollovers in her future.

I never had one of these for my kids but we got one at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago and she loves it. I can put her on the counter while I am cooking or she can just sit up a little and see the world. It makes her happy. I think she may be able to crawl out of it soon though.

Eliza can't stand to not be included in the picture.

AND man does this little princess love her toes. She can suck on them and hold them and even play peek a boo with them. They are her favorite toy right now.

My Pool Boy

Clint keeps asking Justin to scrub down the sides of the pool. Well last week he decided he needed to do a more thorough job. He got out his wetsuit and told him to get to work. Justin just dove right in and had his breath knocked out of him. He was pretty cute and funny to watch and man he did that job quickly.

Can you see his goose bumps?

He had to put his face in to scrub the sides and that was the coldest part. He said his face was numb.

Little Four Eyes

Grandma Garner has been visiting and little Eliza keeps stealing her glasses and walking around the house. She wanted glasses so bad. So, I went and dug up Nathan's first pair of glasses from when he was 2. She loved them and I thought they looked so funny on her. It made me think about when little Nathan first got his and how different he looked. She was over the moon.

Nathan got them to correct his lazy eye and when Eliza put them on, it made her have a lazy eye.

All things Halloween

We had lots of great activities this year. My pictures are kind of scrambled. Clara was a fox this year. It is Susanna's dance costume from last year. I told the kids no money for Halloween so we had to use what we already had.

Susanna wanted to be a hippie. She had this cute headband she wore across her head and then wore her big bell bottom jeans.
Family party at Benjamin's was a blast. April and Benj are great party hosts. We got a quick picture of most the cousins before the craziness started.
Have you ever played that game where you smash your face and talk? This picture reminded me of that. Amelia was a kitty kat. This was Eliza's costume her first year.

Once again I couldn't get the picture to turn the right way.
Justin loved doing his pumpkin but hates scooping out the guts. Can you tell by his lovely face?

Had to get the traditional Eliza and Joshua picture. I think I get one every holiday and they are never far from eachother.

The girls were hard at work on their pumpkins.
Nathan "hanging" out with his friends.
Clara the fox and Annie the supergirl
The final pumpkins. Good job kiddos.

Betsy Belle in her first school halloween parade.

Eliza and Hannah walking in the parade.
Eliza all ready and excited for her trick or treat adventure.

Eliza and little buddy Bliss. They love eachother. Eliza was a witch, Bliss was a ballerina.

How excited is she about all her loot. A girl after my own heart. Grandma and Grandpa Fillmore...we have a few almond joy and mounds we are throwing away but wish you were here to eat them.
I got a final picture of the girls after a full fun night with friends trick or treating.
